Northside Hospital

• Specialized physical therapy and occupational therapy treatment of shoulder, chest wall and other post-operative physical issues (Atlanta & Alpharetta campuses).
• Lymphedema Education and Management Program (Atlanta & Alpharetta campuses)
• Nutritional Counseling: Offered through an affiliation with The Wellness Community-Atlanta
• Counseling: Offered through an affiliation with The Wellness Community-Atlanta
• Support Groups led by a professional counselor are offered through an affiliation with The Wellness Community-Atlanta. We offer support groups led by licensed professionals, i.e. LMFT, LCSW, LMSW:
  
  
  • Breast Cancer Support Groups: These take place at The Wellness Community-Atlanta and are offered twice a month, on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. Drop-ins are welcome. There are also Breast Cancer Support Groups at the Northside Hospital Forsyth location. Those take place once a month.
  • Look Good, Feel Better: Takes place at The Wellness Community-Atlanta.
  
  
• Group Exercise Classes for Breast Cancer: A variety of support programs are offered at Northside Hospital Forsyth and The Wellness Community-Atlanta.
  
  
  • Supported Yoga, Interactive Yoga, Svaroopa Yoga, T'ai Chi, Pilates, Nia
  • Return to Wellness: An integrative 10 week program for women who have recently completed medical treatment for breast cancer and are now in remission. Return to Wellness is a comprehensive program that integrates education, emotional support and physical exercise in a nurturing environment.
  
  
• Programs for women with advanced breast cancer: Offered through an affiliation with The Wellness Community-Atlanta.
  
  
  • Metastatic Breast Cancer Networking Group: Offered on the 2nd & 4th Mondays of the month, this is a drop-in group which offers people an opportunity to share common feelings & concerns relevant to their situation.

  • After Diagnosis Class: For women undergoing breast cancer surgery at Northside Hospital. It is offered on a weekly basis.
  • Network of Hope: Matches Northside Hospital breast cancer patients with volunteer survivors who have faced cancer and whose situation is similar.

• Maximum Reach: A rehab program designed specifically for post-operative breast cancer patients.
• PINK: A Cancer WellFit Program for Women Completing Treatment for Breast Cancer: This 12-week program offers an exercise class twice each week. The program includes nutrition consultation and education, stress reduction through guided imagery and yoga classes. It is designed to pamper, support and restore while you return to the basics of good nutrition, exercise and a sense of well-being. Program participation is open to women currently undergoing treatment and up to eight months post treatment. This program is provided in collaboration with Piedmont Hospital Health and Fitness Club and the Doris Shaheen Breast Health Center at Piedmont Hospital.
