Breast Health Information

After Treatment & Support

There are many issues and concerns relating to living with cancer. Issues and concerns can include: fear of getting cancer again, stress, being a young survivor, medical care after treatment and finding support. The national Komen website has Facts for Life information sheets on many of these topics. Please follow this link, After Treatment and Support, to find more information on some of these issues and concerns. Also, look at our comprehensive resource guide to find support and counseling services in the area.

Lymphedema
Lymphedema is the buildup of lymphatic fluid. It can occur in many places; however, when relating to breast cancer lymphedema often causes swelling of the arm, hand, back or chest.

For local resources about lymphedema, please see our comprehensive resource guide.

For more information on lymphedema, click here.
