Clinical Trials Enrollment Grant Program
The Clinical Trials Enrollment Grant program enhances the capacity of clinical research in the Atlanta area by increasing the number of women who participate in breast cancer clinical trials. Women, especially racial and ethnic minorities, are not adequately represented in cancer research efforts. Multiple barriers - cultural, educational, linguistic, financial, and geographic - hinder participation in clinical trials. Through Clinical Trials Enrollment Grants, Komen Atlanta seeks to fund projects that employ effective strategies to overcome these barriers to enrollment and retention in breast cancer clinical research.
