Grants
FAQ's
How do I know if my organization can apply?
Applicants must be a US nonprofit (federally tax-exempt) organization, e.g. nonprofit 501(c) 3 organizations, educational institutions, government agencies and Indian tribes are eligible.
Can I submit more than one proposal?
An organization can submit applications for more than one project, if projects have independent program goals and measurable objectives.
Can I use the grant funds for travel or salaries?
Travel, if requested, is for travel expenses related to the project only and for travel inside the service area, and not for the general travel of the project director or those related to the project. Salaries, if requested, are for personnel related to this project only and not the general work of employee.
How do we get the grant funds and what are the requirements?
One half of grant funds are distributed after a fully executed contract. After completion of an approved progress report, the second half of funding is distributed.
Where do I find the report outlines that we need to submit?
Reports are available on www.komenatlanta.org. Go to the section, Current Grantees, for the downloadable forms.
Can I change my grant?
Changes can be made with regard to personnel, budgets and timelines with appropriate forms. Forms are listed under the Current Grantees Section. Changes to the overall objectives, aims and goals need to be discussed with the Grant Department.
